Yes, I love Roman floors. One of my first blog posts was about my standing in the Sistine Chapel, ignoring Michelangelo’s ceiling, because I was gazing in adoration at its floors. I’ve only become more obsessed by them as the years have gone by. The patterns are endlessly fascinating, the numerous colors of the marble are always beautiful.
Now I get to add San Lorenzo Fuori le Mura to my ever-growing list of wonderful Roman floors.
